Forbest Academy

Marketing Specialist & Education Consultant

A customer-facing role combining marketing, parent and student consultation, and program development in a Greater Vancouver K–12 education business.

Marketing & acquisition

Plans and produces digital content, campaigns, website content, and search-oriented information that help families understand programs and make informed choices.

Customer insight & consultation

Works directly with parents and students to understand the decision behind the first question, explain program fit, and support informed choices. Recurring questions also shape useful content, clearer recommendations, and the information families need before deciding what to do next.

Program & positioning development

Turns recurring customer needs into program and course ideas, with academic review where appropriate. The work then carries through to positioning and supporting materials that explain who a program is for, what need it addresses, and how families can evaluate it.

Independent product

Aug 2026–Present

Tap to Share

Independent Product Project

An independent product exploring how local businesses can make it easier for customers to turn an in-person experience into social content they choose to share.

Product

Defines the problem, product concept, customer flow, feature scope, merchant-side requirements, and interface decisions, with customer choice built into the experience.

AI & implementation

Designs the AI-assisted caption workflow, platform-aware rules, and human verification steps. AI also supports research and specification work, while Codex-assisted implementation shortens the cycle between defining a requirement, testing it in the web product, checking the output, and refining the result.

Growth

Develops product positioning, website architecture, SEO/GEO research, and the organic acquisition foundation. The product remains in development, and the current growth work is preparing the site, content structure, and market assumptions for later validation with local businesses.

BabySquare

2018–2019
Marketing Coordinator
2020–2021
Marketing Manager

My first Canadian marketing role, spanning retail campaigns, e-commerce, marketing operations, and work with customers from different cultural backgrounds.

Campaign & marketing operations

Coordinated seasonal plans and short-notice campaigns across website, social, and store execution. Internal sales communication and repeatable workflows helped keep campaign rules, customer-facing information, and frontline delivery aligned while priorities shifted with day-to-day retail needs.

Website & e-commerce

Led the business-side work for a BigCommerce rebuild supporting thousands of SKUs across more than 100 brands. The scope included requirements, information architecture, agency coordination, catalog standards, staging QA, launch coordination, and ongoing e-commerce operations. An external agency handled technical implementation.

Multicultural retail & brand compliance

Adapted marketing to different customer contexts, shopping occasions, and channels while working within manufacturer requirements. Product information, approved assets, brand presentation, and retailer advertising rules had to remain accurate and consistent across the website, social content, and store execution.

Returned for a separate Xiaohongshu account project in 2025.
